Recently on The Source we caught up with Jeremy Miller, Director of Product and Development at Allstate Identity Protection. Jeremy has 20 years of experience in product enhancements and innovation efforts specifically in the identity protection space and has been at AIP for 4 years.

Jeremy explains there is a lot to consider when choosing an identity protection provider for employee benefits, but “one specific trait is trustworthiness…they have to do more than just protect. Providers need to evolve past protection and prevention measures and grow into giving consumers better tools and identity enablement.”

Identity enablement is more than just protection. Jeremy describes it as “your verified identity in a single place. Something that can be used across platforms and it is in your hands that enables you to do all kinds of things.” For example, if you’re on a website and have to provide your address or credit card information, identity enablement would allow you to fulfill all this personal information in one secure click.

Jeremy provides criteria of what makes a trustworthy provider – “1) Someone you have a relationship with who’s local 2) How long have they been around 3) Are they trusted by 3rd party partners? 4) Do they understand the role brokers and employers play in the industry?” Allstate Identity Protection is on a mission to protect families everywhere.
